ORIGINAL SURFACE AREAS OF SHALLOW BOTTOM

On the basis of marine charts, we have digitalised the -10 m and -20 m. isobaths. This enables us to delimit the bathymetric layers in the form of a polygon with a measureable area.  The natural coastline (prior to any reclamation) delimits the layer from 0 to -10 m. These bathymetric layers represent the original shallow bottoms (as they were prior to reclamation) ranging from 0 to -10 m and from -10 m to -20 m.
